Imbolc: The Festival of Brigid

Imbolc gently announces the arrival of spring, like a whispered promise between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Celebrated around February 1st, it is associated with the goddess Brigid, a beacon of fire, poetry, healing, and fertility.

As the days lengthen, Imbolc is around the time this change really becomes evident. Even though winter still holds onto the trees and grass, there's a delightful increase in daylight by the day's end. Imbolc extends an invitation to notice the sun's growing strength and feel the soft breath of spring drawing near.

In the heart of winter, a divine spark was born, and now it's blossoming, gently coaxing nature from its peaceful slumber. Remember those intentions you set for the new year? Well dear one, now is the time to watch them grow!
