How to Make Solstice Sun Water

The Summer Solstice is a perfect time to create sun water, a simple yet powerful way to harness the peak energy of the sun. This tradition involves infusing water with the sun's energy, believed to enhance its spiritual and healing properties.

How To Make Sun Water

  • Choose a clean and clear glass jar or bottle with a lid. Fill it with fresh, clean water (preferably spring or distilled water).

  • For added intention, you can place crystals, or herbs into the water to infuse additional energy and properties. Be sure they are water-safe, and nontoxic, especially if you plan to consume the sun water.

  • Setting Intentions: Before placing the jar outside, take a moment to set your intentions. Hold the jar in your hands and focus on what you wish to achieve with the sun water.

  • Charging: Place the jar in a sunny spot outside. Leave the jar out for at least 3-4 hours, or ideally from sun up to sun down on Solstice day.

  • Collecting: Once the water has been sufficiently charged, bring the jar inside, remove any crystals, or herbs, and seal the jar with its lid. Store your sun water in a cool, dark place. If being consumed I suggest to store it in the refrigerator.

 Uses For Your Sun Water

  • Drinking: Add a few drops to your daily water intake to take in the sun’s energy and healing properties.

  • Rituals: Use it to anoint yourself or objects during spiritual practices, use in a bath spell, or use as an offering.

  • Cleansing: Sprinkle it around your home, pour into a bath, or make into a spray for energetic cleansing.

  • Plants: Water your plants with it to give them a boost of solar energy.

The uses for sun water are truly endless. Trust your intuition and use it however you feel guided. Wishing you a blessed Summer Solstice and may the sun's energy bring you warmth, clarity, and abundant blessings throughout the season.
